Elham Kashefi is Professor of Quantum Computing at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh and CNRS researcher at Sorbonne Universite in France. She has pioneered a trans-disciplinary research environment, investigating all aspects of quantum information processing from theoretical perspectives through to actual implementation and industrial applications particularly in the fields of secure and verified quantum cloud computing.

As the associate director of the EPSRC Networked Quantum Information Technology Hub, Elham is in charge of applications to foster the link between the quantum technology and computer science communities.
