Daleen Pretorious

Daleen Pretorius has been with Absa for 14 years. Starting in Absa Corporate Investment Banking as Infrastructure Manager and moving on to various positions. Daleen joined Absa CTO 6 years ago as Head of Platform Cloud and played a key role in establishing Absa Bank’s core engineering cloud team. Daleen was instrumental in the establishment of Absa’s Cloud Incubator. Absa’s Cloud Incubator program trained more than 5000 employees over the last 30 months.

As Head of Platforms Cloud, Daleen supports Absa’s vision of becoming a digital bank through her work on enabling the bank’s transition to AWS.
