Francis Barel

Francis Barel is the Country Manager for PayPal France, leading France since 2019. As part of his role, Francis manages the 4th biggest territory for PayPal in the world. His team helps Large Merchants in France grow their business through the integration of PayPal services, as well as managing existing strategic relationships. Before PayPal, Francis worked for 7 years as a strategy consultant, at Greenwich Consulting Group, in Paris, and Opera Solutions, in New York. As part of this work, Francis became an expert in all forms of payments, or new technologies being developed for pilots or mass adoption.
Francis holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Prior to Tuck, Francis worked for BNP PARIBAS CIB and graduated from EDHEC Business School. He is proud to say he was the first man to join Unity, the PayPal Affinity Group promoting the role of women inside and outside PayPal. Francis is also an avid reader and is a published author in English and French.
