Gülay Stelzmüllner

As CIO of Allianz Technology, Gülay is responsible for the entire internal IT landscape and all associated ITSM processes that are necessary to ensure professional and efficient IT service management and IT service delivery for the entire Allianz Group.

The 45-year-old IT enthusiast is passionate about driving innovations and transformations in large enterprises to enable the digitization of the business through state-of-the-art IT solutions.

Gülay has decades-long roots in IT, beginning with her computer science studies in Munich. Before she joined Allianz in 2020, Gülay worked for more than 16 years with Siemens in various roles and functions with an excellent track record in standardization and cloudification of corporate IT Services.

As Digitalization goes hand in hand with Sustainability (Twin transformation), she puts a high focus on IT Sustainability in Allianz Technology. With ensuring that sustainability is embedded into all IT services and products of Allianz Technology, Gülay supports Allianz to achieve its ambitious targets towards a sustainable future with digitalization and technology. Sustainability hereby not only means environmental protection or energy efficiency but rather following the US Sustainable Development Agenda with a complete view of all ESG aspects.

A special focus hereby is education and gender equality, this is why Gülay is proud to support activities like the Hamburg based Hacker School as well as Women in Tech® and other NGOs. “My strong belief is that You can’t be what you can’t see”, Stelzmüllner says.

Besides driving business transformation and innovation, Gülay, who has Turkish immigration background, is married and a passionate mother of 2.
